A short animated film made by Alexandra (Sasha) Kononova for her friend Yury DMITRIEV’s foster daughter Natasha. Under present circumstances, sadly, they are no longer in touch.
A Story for Natasha (7 minutes long)
The film, made by animators Sasha and Yury Mikhailin, has been entered for the ArtDocFest festival in Riga (Latvia).
YURY DMITRIEV’s lawyer, Victor Anufriev, expects a verdict in his second trial at the end of February 2020. The prosecution and defence are currently giving their final statements. The present trial began in October 2018 and has proceeded even more slowly than the first. Less is known about what has been going on behind closed doors at the second trial, also held in camera.

They brought with them 16 unique plaques they had made themselves, listing those shot and buried there, from first Solovki transport and the prisoners of the White Sea-Baltic camp complex.
